The Satori Program has state certified Batterer’s Intervention Programs operating in Kansas and Missouri. The Satori Program is committed to supporting individuals who have a pattern of exercising power and control in relationships. Abuse takes place in many different forms and does not necessarily have to be physical violence.
Battering is about the systematic exercise of power and control in intimate partner relationships.
The program places an emphasis on teaching individuals about distorted views of themeselves and irrational core beliefs about how relationships function. Group members are expected to remain accountable throughout their time in the program and are encouraged to understand that the program is a starting point for the change process, which will need to occur in order to end intimate partner violence.
